Any opinions on Woodleighs? I will be hunting elk with my 6.5 Swede this fall and had kind of settled on the 140gr partitions, but noticed a 160gr Woodleigh with a ballistic coefficient of .509 and sectional density of .328
It seems it would be potent medicine for larger game

Woodleighs are good stuff...count on it.

I tested the 160s in my 8 twist 6.5-06. Very nice groups and easy to get to shoot. They would surely do well on elk though I still need to field test them.

Woodleigh bullets are not for the "boyhowdylookwhatIcando" set. They are designed to do their best work at more moderate velocities. Good expansion, deep penetration. That's one of the reasons they come in only the heavier weights. I think it would be an excellent choice.
Aim for the exit hole.
