As I hear it commonly stated.. I don't dislike the 308 and have owned several. But, I've realized that the best thing about the .308 is the donor opportunities.

It's offspring, however, are a different story! Love the .243, .260, 7mm-08 and .338 Federal! What could be a sadder way to end a life than to die having never hunted with great dogs, good friends and your family?

I like it.

Yea the 308 really sucks!

I have four rifles chambered in 308 and just purchased a new 308 Reamer to build myself another. I guess you could say i hate the 308 A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

My only problem with the .30-06 is that they didn't make the Sav 99 in long actions. I have most all the calibers mentioned, except the .260. The .308 seems to always get my nod for deer.
