Hi all, I have the following rifle for sale: A Winchester Model 70 Classic Featherweight in 270. Before I even shot the rifle I had my smith lighten the trigger pull to a crisp 3 lbs, remove the crappy bedding compound and use glass bedding in it's place (just the recoil lug) ,remove forend pressure point to float barrel, install Pachmayr flush swivel bases, install Williams two piece steel trigger guard and floorplate, and a Williams extractor was also added. This rifle has very nice wood grain and was very well put together by the factory in New Haven. This rifle has a very low round count and is very accurate. It is in, I would say 99% condition. It also comes with a 3X9 Trijicon Accupoint scope with amber triangle reticle mounted in lapped, low Burris Zee rings and Weaver Grand slam bases. I would like $1050.00 for this rifle plus $35 shipping. Please be sure that your FFL will accept a shipment from an individual. Thanks !!

I'd really to keep it as a package but what would you offer for the rifle?

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

bsa - Would not consider that a fair comparison, the one listed currently on GB says it is a 1989 manufacture. I could be wrong (and usually am) but I didn't think the Classic came out until 1992. That would make the 1989 version a push feed (which is what it looks like), and without all of the work that was done on the OP's rifle.
To be honest, if I didn't have a Pre-64 270, I'd be very interested in the one posted here. He's done all of the work I usually end up doing to those rifles.

Thanks smallcal! Yes that is a pushfeed, also like to point out that the scope on my rifle goes for over $600 while the one on the rifle on GB is pretty much worthless. Also open to offers.
