I inherited a .308 Norma mag, on an Enfield action, from my dad. Best guess is that it still has the original military barrel. Does anyone have experience with one of these in regards to either accuracy or loads? Thanks!

Well yes,I had my P-17 rechambered to 308Norma.Mine is to Norma specs, which is a freebore. Not all rechambering jobs were to specs,so a word of caution about using max loads. The factory ammo is listed for 3080f/s with 180gr. out of a 24" tube,I wouldn't want go above that,Norma like Weatherby, loads hot.My load is 74.0gr of V V N-560 and 180gr Interbonds.Max is 75.0,which works as does 73.0. Sierra 180 Prohunters were more accurate 5/8" vs 7/8",but I wouldn't trust them at 3050f/s.
