Hi Guys!
This is my first post on the Archery section of the "Fire". I am looking at purchasing my first bow. My 9 year old son and I would like to learn and hunt together as we do with firearms.
I have an opportunity to purchase either a used Bowtech Sniper or a Bear Truth II. Would anyone like to offer their personal opinions of these bows?
Thanks,
Dean

Both good bows. I am more partial to Bowtech though. As mentioned shoot both and buy the one that feels right to you

Let the bow pick you. One will shoot better for you, or it may be a sleeper 3rd choice. Case in point: I took a good friend to an archery shop. He shot the Mathews Z7, Elite, Bowtech...all top of the line. But the bow that shot best for him, by far, was the Bowtech Assassin package bow. He was nailing them with that one....so that's what he bought. Saving hundreds, he got his first big game animal with a bow last December.

Both of your choices are nice bows.

Something that fails to be mentioned is that Bear has had trouble with their limbs on the Truth bows and I do not know if that has been rectified yet. A a whole tho both are nice bows. Shoot as many as you can get your hands on. Then buy the one you shoot best with.

Hope both are the same and proper draw length! If you error on draw length, error short and not long. A bow with a draw length that is to long will form bad habits fast!
