That is a nice looking rifle. I really like the contrasting Cerakote colors. Super rig.

Yes, NF low aluminum/titanium rings. Total weight with scope is 8.1 pounds. With that modest weight, the rifle balances nicely and the recoil is very tolerable. I suppose I could mount a scope that weighs a few ounces less, but I really like the NF optics. This 2.5-10x32 is a nice balance of ruggedness and weight. I've used NF optics on other rifles and have had good success.

Great rifle Curt. Maybe those groups will tighten up for ya. It sucks when a nice rig won't shoot..........grin

Nice rifle Curtis! Isn't it fun to have a rifle that shoots like that with almost no load development.
John does good work. I think one of my friends is going to have John rebarrel his M-70, .270.
Enjoy your shooting.

I feel bad to admit that I haven't even shot the rifle that Pierce built for me 4 months ago. And to make it worse, after seeing this thread I want to get him to do another rifle for me already!

Pretty. Love the scope too - don't see too many NF scopes in manageable sizes like that.

Curtis, I'm amazed how similar our rifles look. Mines in 6.5x47, Rifle Basix trigger, same barrel but mines 26", PTG BM, Farrell alum rings. Field conditions yesterday firing prone @ 402 yds with 140 Partions @ 2870 fps Off the bench during load workup. It was a pleasure to work with Jim and John. This is the second 6.5x47 Lapua Chris Matthews of http://longshotriflesllc.com/ built for me. What scope caps are you using? Alan

GSSP - nice looking rig. That is very similar to mine. I love the 6.5x47 cartridge. Must be a joy to shoot. I may need a 6.5mm sometime in the near future.
Those are Butler Creek flip up scope covers.
