From what I understand, Badger is the sole distributor of these understated Deer Stands. One used silverstream travel trailer,5K worth of lumber and two cranes to set it up and presto! You're the master of all you can see! [Linked Image]

MY LORD, Littlebit. I thought I had seen some crazy assed deer stands but that takes the prize. I know that lease is in Texas. Where else would anyone do that but here? I would NOT want to be in that sucker during a thunder storm. If a tornado kicks up you're goin' to OZ. By the Way, hows the TV reception? Be careful going to the out house during the middle of the night. Hey, I am still laughing and crying! Now we know what's behind all those UFO reports. The FAA make you put a flashing red light on the top of that thing?

How do you do to shoot out of that thing ? Open a window ? Looks like you'd have to have a 7 mag for the close shots, Littlebit's .338 Ultra for the longer shots, and Stick's old .378 for the long shots. E
Heck Stick can't use that stand! Anything he owns would topple it with recoil!

I'll tell you one thing, If it's in Texas it dang sure better have a license tag on it or the State will be giving a citation. Been there done that!! -- no

All I can say is how does that thing stay up, I see there are guy wires I guess under some tension, but like some have said it would not stand up to too high a wind, and with my damn luck, I would forget where I was and that first step would be a bitch. LIke they say, it is not the fall that kills you it is the sudden stop at the bottom. I would hate to have to answer the call of nature and even if you had facilitiess you would either have to pipe it down or take it down.

Is the triangle part below the "stand" steel or wood? It may be welded to the frame for extra support. It looks like something the GA Power guys would rig up!!!

Rolly - I'd bet they are real. You should see the feature that Texas Parks and Wildlife did on deer stands. It made these seam tame. The only thing worse than the stands themselves are the names they are given. Why would anyone build stands like that? On my place someting like that happens during the off season when a bunch of us get together at the lease with a few six packs. Before long some one will say " I bet we could make a deer blind out of that" And that's all it takes. [Linked Image]
Some of these Alabama boys are SERIOUS about their deer hunting! I've seen alot of "Shooting Houses" but never anything like this!

You got to really want a deer to climb that ladder. Windy days would be ROUGH, to say the least.

Thought you boys would enjoy this pic....James
