I have 2 friends and 2 co-workers that were fighting cancer this past year. We lost one of each. My thoughts go out to you and your family and hope those happy memories stay with you forever.

So sorry for your loss. If you get a chance google a song called MEET ME IN McCALL by Brenn Hill. He wrote it for his uncle who passed. Thanks for sharing your memories.

Again, sorry for your loss, but also, welcome to the club. It's tough loosing your older mentors and hunting buddies. But, it is life, and you have his stories and memories. Take Care.

Sorry to hear of your loss, seems so soon that friends are called away. Looks like he made quite a hunting partner.

Sincere thanks to each of you for your kind thoughts.

Even though we all must one day pass to the other side it is always difficult when one of us does.

Godspeed. Remember him always.

From what I just read, he will never be gone, he will live on in your head and heart.

I'd say it sounds like you both made the best of the time spent together. I suspect it would be hard to ask for anything more. Other than more years of course.

Please accept our condolences and our prayers for you and the family.

Jeff

Am really sorry for your loss. It seems he had a good life with lots of outdoor time.
I know what your going through, when I lost my hunting uncle buddy it was as hard as losing my parents.
I hope you heal throughly and quickly, and happy hunting.

Sorry to hear this and sorry I'm late to actually say something. Seems ya'll shared some great memories together and that is a big plus. He'll be with you in the hills still, watching over.

JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H
