I have an 1893 Winchester shotgun I am looking to move out. It has great great finish on it. Made for 2 5/8 shells black powder only I have read most of these where turned in on trade for 1897 versions after they had problems with them blowing up with smokeless powder. This gun has been modified some where in its life and now sports an 18" barrel. great for Cowboy action shooting or the wall or just looking awsome. there is a small hair line crack at the top of the grip neck, and a little rust where the barrel was modified but other than that it is amazing!! thanks for looking
I think I've read that Winchester's upgrades from '93 to '97 weren't (only) about black powder versus smokeless, and I think SASS won't allow '93s on the line. You could research that for ground truth with folks on the cbig owboy shooting forums (SASS Wire, CAS City, etc.).
