I have 250 Deluxe. They have alloy receivers and crappy trigger pulls, the trigger travels with the lever like an 88. The one I have is fairly accurate and has really nice wood. I don't think the magnum was made in the same "deluxe" version as the standard 22 LR series of guns. The 22 long rifle auto, pump, and lever were available with Monte Carlo stocks with very nice wood.
Some Winchester 22s from the 70s are getting somewhat collectible and asking prices are high. I remember reading that 80-90% of the production of the Winchester 100-200 series were automatics (190s and 290s). Magnums are hard to find. Here is a link of a 290 Deluxe for sale in Houston for $495!
