mine likes the same load and will put the HP version into slightly larger groups at 100, best part is they land at the same POI...
I can't spell... Deal with it...

i have a M77/22 lr i shoot a lot and had a M77/17HMR that now belongs to another campfire member. i have no complaints what so ever. i will get another M77/17 hmr or 22 mag one day. i'd have another one right now if kids education wasn't raking me over the coals!
Help keep our sport going. take a kid outdoors!

I have one that I had a trigger job done, cut and crouned it at 20". It really likes the Wincester 32-33 grain Premium? About an inch at 100 on good days. Handy and no malfunctions ever.

Blue/walnut version. It really likes the Rem 40gr HP. Will drive them thru one hole at 50 yards and around an inch at 100. The last time I shot it at 100 yards, it went about .80, but most of the time it is around an inch, give or take. Win 40gr HP's shoot almost as good, but it really likes the Remington ammo. I tried every 22 Mag round I could find, some it didnt like one bit. You just have to give them all a try.

I have both the 22 Mag and 17 HMR...
one thing I can recommend for either that really is worthwhile in the field shooting sage rats and prairie dogs is the Shooter's Ridge 20 round double stack magazine.
I carry two of them, and can load almost a full container of ammo in both... They are about $20.00 each, and mine feed flawlessly...
