Should work has about the same MV as a regular 270 does at 200.
Treat it as a 200 yard cartridge and you should do fine on deer/antelope.
A cartridge for a "hunter".

I think you will find it is a handloading proposition but I think it is a good one.

I set a 16" AR up last summer for a low recoil deer rifle to be used at less than 200 yards because of back surgery. I concluded that it would be a fine deer rifle equivalent to a .250 Savage. With handloaded 95gr. TTSX, it may even be better.

Go to Silver State Armory for ammunition, although it's being loaded by Remington, Hornady, and others.

I have yet to shoot a deer with it and probably won't, but I have shot something just shy of 20 hogs with it. I used the 110 grn pro hunters in SSA factory loads. They worked great, I can't imagine why it wouldn't make a great deer cartridge for you. I've done a little handloading for it and produced some very accurate loads. I'm shooting an AR and when actually hunting I can seldom recover my brass, so I haven't really built up enough to do any substantial handloading. Brass is expensive for it so I find I can buy factory SSA rounds of Pro Hunter for not much more than it would cost me to reload. I'd expect using your TC, recovering your brass wouldn't be an issue like it is for me with an AR throwing the stuff off into the weeds and water. I haven't experimented with any of the "new" bullets that have come out for it, but what I read on the 68forums is that they are getting good results on deer and pigs. I have a little supply of 110's and they are doing a job on my pig hunts so it'll be a while before I feel the need to change bullets. I've had good luck with H335 and H322, I also read reports of guys using Rx10 with good results. I've yet to find any of that in stock so I've stayed with the H322 as of late, it's very accurate out of my Stag 20in bbl. Good luck, I think you'll enjoy it. CH

Bought the 6.8upper for my son to hunt with and he just shot a decent size hog with it [110gr Silver State ammo]
Pretty impressed with the performance

3oo yards is my outer limit with any cartridge anyway. my 2 longest shots ever have been 182 yds (laser measured) and 300yds(steps),everything else has been less than 100yds.i hunt with an encore rifle and pick my shots carefully and pass on anything even slightly questionable.

Great little cartridge. I killed 5 deer with a 15" Contender in 6.8spc a few years ago. I used the 110TSX and the 110 Prohunter. Both did just fine. H335 was very accurate in my barrel...im talking .5" groups.
