I've pretty much exhausted myself, and places to ask...aside from what I may be leaving my gunsmith, I need to know if a remington new take-off 17cal. Barrel can be machined and chambered to my tikka. Its a long shot but I need my thread diameter and if its smaller than a remington then id attempt it. Keep in mind, this is to be a predator rifle only, and I don't feel like im losing anything as far as my 223 barrel as I have a 22-250 that I can fit the 1-8 to for heavier bullets.
