Never tried it fishy but I'm all ears.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I'll be giving it 2-3 pounds of effort after my second attempt (in the past year) to buy H4350 at the "local" Sportsmans Warehouse netted only a couple bottles of H.
An aside, as I recall, it's made in Canada, so perhaps an IMR sourced product, possibly very closely related to IMR's 4350. If I recall the label info, however, - I'm still waiting on the air freight shipment of my powder and primers- it said it was a shorter grained powder.

I'm like everybody else, I've run the IMR and H variants, but not the AA.
QL says all being equal in the load, it will be slightly lower pressure with slightly higher velocity. Looks like it'd be up to the rifle to make a decision.
It's close enough between all three that a lot-to-lot variation could take out any perceived advantage. I'd have to let the group size determine which one to use.

I tried AA4350 a few years ago. The particular lot I had looked exactly like IMR4350, and shot exactly the same way in both velocity and accuracy in my rifles with the same loads.
Until very recently, Accurate powders were surplus powders purchased from various sources. I suspect that my batch was surplus IMR4350.

I may be mistaken, but didn't they start buying from commercial sources, but uniformity was somewhat of a problem for a while, due to the varied sources?
Or was that someone else?

I don't see as much from Israel, China, former Soviet states, etc as it was for awhile, nor have I smelled any that smell like toothpaste recently (which some sources reminded me of. )

I've never tried it and that's why I'm asking. I picked a pound at Sportsman and I'm curious to see how it does.

For some reason bi-mart hasn't had the IMR4350 in for about a month now: Thus, one of the reasons I'm thinking about making the switch to H powder just to give it a try. Let us know how the AA version works out for you.

I haven't tried it because it's one of those brands that seems to be under the witness protection program around here.

Have used AA4350 with H and IMR data in 270 & 30-06. Doesn't seem to care. "always work up to max etc."

I've used a good bit of it. My 300 SAUM used to really like it under a 180 Partition. I've tried it in 25-06, 30-06, and 7 SAUM. It behaves like IMR/H 4350 almost grain for grain with IMR. I'd be curious how it faired with temperature swings. Looking at the Hodgdon Extreme testing it showed some goofiness - gained velocity as it got colder. I've been a bit leery since. It used to be cheap and worked as my general practice powder. It is not as cheap as it used to be.

I've shot some XMR4350(AA) in my 6.5x55 with very good results. It is more sensitive to temperature than H4350, but a very good powder.
Be not weary in well doing.
