Could be a Repeating Rifle Model 246 built on 98 action 1939-41 or a Repeating Rifle Model 640 built with non swept bolt handle on 98 and 38 actions.
Both were made in 9.3x62.

Here is a link to a later 640 on a 98 (FN style swept bolt handle)

Good luck with it, would build to a nice big bore.

Very likely not a M98. It appears more to be a modified M94/96 action with a M38/M46 turned down bolt. Bolt shroud is typical of M94/96 in that it does not have the gas deflecting flange typical of M98s.

Yeah, that was my intial thought. Opening up a 55 mm action for a 62 mm cartridge, quite a bit hotter cartridge, could prove exciting.

Given what a complete NIB CZ in 9.3x62 costs, well ............

I am sending this back to the top with a lower price of $525.
This is not a '96 military action. It is a modified commercial action with the thicker sidewall and no thumb-cut. Stronger and was commercially made for the 9.3x62 cartridge.

Hi, Frank. I am new to this and don't know if your action and barrel is still for sale. I would like to know, thanks. RLL
