The "ETS Systems Lake Fork" site has a wealth of info on Fork, including the guides Weekly Fishing Reports. They are kind of hard to find. They are in the news releases. Check it out. Also some good reading in the tips, near the bottom of the scroll. Good luck.

Was just thinking about Lake Fork the other day. Hope you do well and catch that bucketmouth! Be sure to report how it went.

Well we drew a 2 of spades for a weather card for both days. 45 mile an hour winds the first day and 20 mph the second. Both days clear sunny skies. Still caught 15 bass a day nothing over 6lbs. P&J and shacky head grn craw. Some guys cathching bass and a alot of cat fish on Water dogs at $40.00 a dozen. I am strickly artificial but not ripping the live bait guys. Just there choice. Anybody know of someone that makes an artifical, plastic waterdog? Would like to play with them and some different scents. Had a great time with my son and will be back next year. Had some awesome BBQ and Cajun boil for suppers!!! Live in MN but have traveled to TX alot and really like the people and the food. TX rocks. Buckfever1

Sounds like you caught the drill.
I fished Fork for years. You might want to think about the post spawn of the first two weeks in May. Weather is good and the fronts are usually gone. Folks are gone, too. You can catch fish on about every bait in your box, top water to bottom fishing.
I use Fisherman's Cove Marina on HWY 17. One stop fishing, complete with close boat slips, food, and drinks. If it storms, you are sheltered on the west side of the lake. Check in on Sun PM and fish alone until Fri in May.

croldfort, has the lake growen any weeds by the beginning of May or is it still all wood fishing. I like the idea of going post spawn but wondered how hot, bugs, and weeds compared to the middle of April? I can't imagine the lake would change that much in 2 weeks. Really had a great time. Appreciate your information because a MN boy needs all the help he can get on the big water in TX. Thanks Buckfever1
