Just chasing a bit of feedback from owners of one of these.
What do they shoot like? and any other comments most welcome.
I had one on order and cancelled it, but the want (need never comes into it.. :)) hasn't gone away. I've got a late model 1A in 7x57 and I'm very pleased with it and I figure the 300 would pair up up nicely.

Mine, a puncheded out 1B .30-06, is a dandy. It shoots whatever 180 gr I feed it to the same POI.
Now, you need a 375 H&H for a classic trio.

I have the Boddington version and with Nosler 165 ballistic tips on top of 69 g of R22 it's been running 0.5" at 100. Also shot some 200 accubonds and 240 matchkings and my groups so far have been in the 1-1.25" range. I haven't done extensive loading for it yet but it seems to like the lighter bullets. I also haven't moved back to see if that ~1/2 moa continues further out, but i'm really happy with the rifle so far.

My mate has had one in Dubbo for about six months now. It's still unfired.

I have one that shoots the Hornady 180 Spire point with IMR 4350 into about 1.25" for three at 100. Not my best shooting rifle, but also not my worst. Has a very high cool factor, though. I haven't messed with the forearm yet, either.

Just got through shooting mine today.Every time I take it out it gets better and better.I started out shooting 168 gr. Barnes bullet with IMR-4350 powder and getting about 1 1/4 inch groups. I tried the 168gr A-max with the same powder charge today and it shoot just under a inch with same point of impact.I also shot some 220gr. Sierra bullets today with IMR-4350 and it only shoots about 2 inch's lower than the the 168gr. bullets at 100 yards. I will not change the scope setting because the shot's I take with the 220 gr. bullet will be under a 100 yard shots. Next time out I will be shooting some 200 gr. Speer Grand Slams. I love this rifle and caliber. If there every was a all around rifle this is it for me.

Love it!
I've only shot mine with irons so far, part of keeping it classic... but i'm seeing nice groups at 50 yds (zeroed it for a reduced target shoot).
I've been loading 4831SC and 180 sierra SpT.

Mine will do 1" groups with Nosler Brass, RL22 and Horn 180gr. Very nice rifle and very accurate, even with Federal TSX factory fodder.
Beware of thieves, scammers and dishonest members on the "Fire" classifieds. Ya there is a thief here too. Whatever!!
They're all around the CampFire and everywhere.

It suprise's me how accurate Ruger open sights are right out of the box. When I bought my Ruger No.1 in .405 winchester with open sights I shot 1 1/4 inch 5 shot group at 100 yards.Right in the middle of the target.

I have one of the Boddington series, it shot sub-MOA right out of the box. Trigger is superb, best I'vwe seen on a #1. It will stay.
