Any suggestions are where to fish on the Gascanade River near Richland, Mo? I am new to the area

I don't know much about the Gascanade but I know a ton about the Current River and the Smallmouth in it.

Try Belles Chute (State Ramp) just off Rt 28 about 2-3 miles South of intersection with Rt. 63 at Vienna, Mo.
Great smallmouth fishing except from May 30 to Sept 10 when young teens take it over.
a lot of small mouth 1.5- 3.0 lbs and some largemouth 3-4 lbs.

You will need a canoe or jet boat (preferred). There is a local motel that will drop you and pick you up at several spots in the area.

I live in the east edge of KS, but one of my buddy's father owns a farm on the Gasconade. I am not sure where. Several of the guys from here have those 18-20' narrow flat bottom trout boats to fish over there. They spend a week on the river, two people per, with those skinny long boats. They paddle, and have a battery operated trolling motor for extremes. I've seen lots of pics and movies of smallmouths over 20" from over there. Good luck.
