Win brass, 38.5 gr of Big Game, 50 gr Ballistic Tip or V-Max, WLR primer. About 1/2-inch groups from my Kimber Varmint. That is below Ramshot's max, but that particular rifle does not like max loads - I get pressure signs like hard bolt lift, etc. when I get close to max. It chronos fast - getting max velocities with non-max loads, so the pressure is there. My copy of Ramshot's data shows 40.4 gr as max for that bullet...

I just tried 50 grain v-max's with 36.5 of Varget, just touching the lands, and was fairly impressed.

34.5g Benchmark, 50 NBT, F210M and Nosler brass. Averages about 3840 from my 26" Remington 700 and shoots .25" groups. H4895 worked well for me too. Tried Varget with no luck. You'll read or hear people say Benchmark is too fast for the 22-250, but it works really well for me.

If they think Benchmark is too fast, they'll love some of my "Go To" powders for the 22.250..... Reloader 7 and H 322...

I like 50g NBT with 37.5 grains of Varget for 3800fps out of a 26" tube. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Benchmark and may swing over to the dark side and try some it.

I am not sure of the ROT, the gun is a H&R Ultra. Plan on woodchuks out to 250 yards and called predators. Thanks .260Remguy.

Links99: I am currently shooting 9 (nine) Varmint Rifles in caliber 22-250 Remington. Here are some component suggestions for you.
For accuracy here are the powders they prefer: Varget = preferred by 4 of them. IMR 4064 = preferred by 3 of them. IMR 3031 = preferred by 1 of them. H 380 = Preferred by 1 of them.
All of my 22-250's use Federal 210 M (match) primers
For accuracy here are the bullets they prefer: Berger 52 grainers preferred by 4 of them. Nosler 55 grain Ballistic Tips preferred by 2 of them. Sierra 55 grain Blitz's (not BlitzKings) preferred by 2 of them. Speer 52 grain HP/FB's preferred by 1 of them.
Best of luck with your new 22-250! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Shooters add the loads that are specific to their rifles Always check any loads you read on the internet against a reloading manual for safety. http://www.centerfirecentral.com/viewer.htmlgood luck!

H 414, Fed Match Primers, and 52 gr a-max's do the trick for most mid weight 22-250 setups, and it shoots good with slow and fast twist, but still explosive on varmints. If 414 doesn't do well go to Varget. My 2 cents, T.S.
