Same as my post under your 244 Rem thread... look for 250 Savage data, may be easier to find than 250-3000. (Again, I'm probably telling you something you already knew, but just in case...  )

Links99... did you add it to your collection in the form of a Savage 99? If its a pre- 1,000,000 serial then the twist will be 1-14... if its after 1,000,000 then its 1-10... that will help those with good load data. The early rifles shoot the 87 grain bullets well and its a real toss up on whether you will get one that will shoot 100 grains well or not. Any of the modern premium super long bullets just flat won't work in an early 99 in 250-3000. They just can not stabilize.

It is a savage 1899 so it has the 1-14 twist looking mainly for powder options plan on using 87 and lighter bullets

I don't list loads on the internet, but I can get you started in the right direction.
Try IMR 4064, IMR 4350, AA 2230; if you like to use a powder measure tather than a beam scale, Ramshot Big Game and Ramshot Hunter will meter easily (but the ramshot manual does not list for the 250 savage.
These powders all work in the 22/250 as well, along with H- 4895.
Older manuals list loads for the 250 Savage [try the Lyman ones e.g. 46th and 47th editions] , but the newer ones not so much.

Try IMR-3031 it has worked for years in the 250 SAV.

Mine does well with 4320 and RL-15 when loading the 75 Sierra hp.
Lately I've been using Ramshot Big game with either the 87 Speer Hot Core for deer or the TNT for varmints. One of these days I've got to punch a coyote with that load, I'll bet the TNT would just ruin his day.

A gunshop in my area had a custom Springfield 03 with
a bull barrel in 250-3000 awhile back. Probably built
in the 40s or 50s.

Hodgdon site lists a number of powders that'll get you north of 3k w/ an 87 gr including both 4895s, Varget, 3031, and 8208. Sweet rifle/cartridge combo. If you're looking to knock off varmints don't forget the 75 gr Vmax! http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

The 75 V-Max is my favorite all-around varmint bullet in the .250. Reloder 15 works really well. Around 37-38 grains is max in Savage 99's for 3000+ fps, but the charge can be upped in bolt-actions for muzzle velocities in the 3200 fps range.

My 1 in 10 twist Savage 110, shoots 85 grain noslers over 36 grains of reloder 15 into one ragged hole at 100 meters. I have an 1 in 14 twist Savage Model 20 that will shoot the same load with irons into 10 ring and x ring for 10 shots. Really great load for targets or varmits, would not use it on deer.

I have a 99 EG with a 1-14" ROT and as mentioned heretofore, the 75gr V-Max is a good varmint choice. This rifle likes 37grs IMR 4064 - chronys about 3,100 fps.
The Speer 87gr Hot-Cor takes care of Wisconsin and Michigan Whitetails. 35grs H4895 chronys 2980 fps.
Case life with both loads is 3-4 firings.

This is a very overlooked varmint calibre. I have a in 10" twist 24" bull barrel and another + for the 75 V-Max.
