Back in the day Bill Ruger was one of the most innovative firearms designers alive. Now that he's gone? We have a AR-15 and a 1911 gee wow...........................DJ

I hope it doesn't have a Ruger trigger on it. Maybe they farmed it out.
Good looking pistol. In fact, it looks just like every other SS 1911 with adjustable sights. And thankfully, it doesn't have those grip things on the front of the slide.
Not many problems you can't fix With a 1911 and a 30-06

Its on the Handgun page, but I'm thinking, once any bugs get worked out, if there are any, this "new" 1911 by Ruger, is going to be one sweet pistol I'm thinking. Time will tell.

If they make a commander size 1911 I will give it a try. I've been looking at the kimbers but can't get over the sticker shock. I have a blued Colt commander but want one in stainless.

Where did they engrave the lawyer's warning to read the instruction manual fully before use?

We have a AR-15 and a 1911 gee wow...........................DJ And .303s, .30-40s, .35 Whelens, .257 Roberts' and 7x57s, .300H&Hs, .450/400s etc etc etc. Which other firearms manufacturer offers those classic cartridges to us? If selling AR15s and 1911s helps them make money, stay in business and offer us classic cartridges then good on 'em I say.

What's not to like?

Shall we start a poll on how long it takes, before it's recalled?
If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.

Well at least they will admit there is a problem and make it right when one appears. Unlike several other gun companies
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

Prob go for what, $625 on the street?
In this day and age - a decent 1911 for that price is hard to beat. Also knowing Ruger, you can probably use it to frame a house and the gun will still function just fine. Ruger builds some stout gear....
