In my 300 I needed to use Fed primers and same OAL to get optimum accuracy (R22).
But not having as much success in 270wby.
I have notice two diff colors of primers, silver and gold.

Bottom line I guess is what do you think the powder is?
My ULA shoots factory 150SP consistently under .750

150gr Hornady or NP:
F215 primer
Wby (norma) brass
68.5gr MRP (or you can use RL-22)
3245 fps
51,800 avg breech pressure

Three different 270Wby's have loved 64 grains of IMR4350 with the 130 grainer. 3350-3375 fps and wonderful accuracy.

Don't laugh til you try it! wink

The two .270 Wby's I've had and worked with both doted on the 150 Horn and 4350 if I recall right.

I've only loaded for one 270WBY, and it liked IMR7828 and the 150gr Partition.

I can help with 130gr's. My old R93 barrel clocked(chrony'd) just over 3500 with 130grTSX's & R25. No signs of pressure!

IMR 7828 should get you there for velocity. Accuracy is a crap shoot for any load from one rifle to another.

I had the best luck with IMR-7828 with 130 gr Partitions, Fed Gold Medal Mag primers.

I run Fed 215, 75.5 gr 7828, wby case , 3450-3475 w/ 130 SST or interbond. Can go faster but this shoots good for me. Nice BC on this bullet for a 130. The SST is the more accurate of the two but both are more than acceptable for me. Pre 64 win mod 70 w/ 26in bbl.
