You guys and gals that handload for a Ruger no1, what bullet and powder gives you the most satisfaction? 45/70 marlin Campfire Member Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 150 SALUDA,S.C.	A good load for the Ruger #1 is a 300 grain jhp loaded with 63 grains of Reloader #7 powder for about 2400 fps.Another good load is a 405 grain gas checked bullet or Remington 405 grainer with 50 grains of reloader #7 POWDER.
