As long as I'm so overwhelmingly out-voted, may I throw-in with the crowd and suggest an appropriate crown design?

a tall white conical paper cap, with a black tip at the top (to symbolize a sharp pencil point, of course).
Witty to follow: Sure Ken. But you will need to provide your size and to be politically correct it should have some form of safety on it. You know, that way it wouldnt go off accidentally or half-cocked. Charlie could probably make one up and we could get it Cerakoted and Big Stick could supply a skull and crossbones sticker.

..

It must be the holiday. Too much time with too many relatives, nobody getting enough attention or maybe just a shortage of Budweiser. Im a bit surprised that so few were interested in participating in a formal acknowledgement of the education and entertainment provided by those talented few.

Ill consider the issue dead due to lack of interest and try to conform to the notion that the world is FLAT.

On a similar note: My 16 year old recently excelled to the point of recognition in a writing evaluation at his school. Got the results in the mail just the other day. We praised his accomplishment and, inspired, he has enrolled in a summer writing camp. Trying to be the good Dad, I asked for his review of an article I had recently completed. It was returned with a multitude of red marks.

So, what do I know?

He later informed me that his essay was graded by a computer! That explains it!

Ain't that very similar to the old Dunce cap I saw long years ago?

My thoughts. For what they are worth, and thats just electrons on the screen.

Focusing mainly on what is posted here.

How are you going to top Ken Howell? His bear in camp story posted here makes me laugh to every time I read it.
His mini lessons on gun photography and writing , well you cant buy an education like that.

JJHACK, I have read his posting for years back on alloutdors and here. His business with the beetles, his hunting experience in the US and now his African adventures. He brings it all to life.

Blane/AFP, always a wealth of knowledge and from ongoing experiments, I mean projects. The fact he takes time to post his successes and failures help guide a lot of us in our own projects

The Alaska wild bunch. As one of them once said, I have told this story so many times, it might be true.
A look into a world most of us will never get to, but wish we could.
Wild stories, wild jokes and, wild times from the wild country.

Lots of others, lots of information passed beside this fire.

You're so right on Lewis, that it only points out that many will be deserving only to finish out of the running. I wonder why we can't just treasure what we have instead of catorgorizing

I am neither here nor there on the "ethical" issue of voting a favorite. We all do it everyday consciously or not. We are all also grown ups and realise that recognition of ones talents should be viewed as complimentary, not as to denegrate someone else.
In that vein, I throw in my vote for Mule Deer as well. Having just come back from a trip to his neck of the woods and seeing he has not been blowing smoke about "Big Sky" for all these years as well as the fact that he tends to write on a level that I can relate to (as well as learn sum'tin on occassion).
As to a second I have to give that a bit more thought. My wife says I should choose Eileen so as to be fair, what with the sometimes bulging waist line I incurr do to her writings.
Probably going to be close between Trzoniec and Pearce.

What part of "Constitutionally !!LIMITED!!" don't you understand?
