putting aside how much or how little credit Obama deserves for not getting in the way of the hit on bin Laden, I think the effects will be farther reaching than many seem to recognize.


The Muslims follow the strong horse....and the US, by its patience, skill and technology, has stayed the course and killed its enemy, even if it took nearly a decade. When we look strong and serious, we are less likely to be messed with. This will be a good antidote to the goat rodeo in Libya.

Osama's high walls, guards, and the protection of the Paki armed forces and intel appparat couldn't save him from the Great Satan.....when we decide somebody's going to die, we can make it happen, no matter how well protected they think they are by raghead standards. Nobody is safe, once we put them on our list.

That stark fact, combined with the numerous blackened circles scattered around the middle East and the horn of Africa where Hellfire missiles from predators unceremoniously ended the jihad careers of promising young recruits, has got to be a huge psychological blow to the movement and a real buzzkill for recruiters.

And now, they know as well as we do that those SEALS were loaded down with documents, hard drives, laptops and cell phones......and that missiles and death squads will be following up the leads and locations within hours.

So it's a really really bad day for the bad guys, and the next few days as people get offed based on the fresh intel captured are going to be even worse. Allah akbar, losers!

yeah, most of these guys don't really have the desire to be martyrs. Killing infidels, or wrong brand Muslims, or innocents who get in the way......that's all cool. But actually getting your brains blown out at close range by a SEAL is not something many people aspire to. And since rising in rank makes one a more likely target for special attention, it makes middle managment jihadi jobs tough to fill.......no, Achmed, YOU be regional operations manager....no, Ali, YOU must be manager....no, you....no, you.
