People fret too much about rifle weight. If you're healthy enough to hunt, you should not require a flyweight rifle.
Require or simply be smart and/or experienced enough to realize the advantages?
THere have been many, many times I've returned to the truck or vehice in the evening wishing I had a lighter rifle.
Last fall I finally got smart and invited two nephews to antelope hunt in Wyoming, both from out of state (OK and SC) and neither with their own rifles. No need for me to carry a rifle and much of the time I didn't. It was great and when I needed a rifle all I had to do was ask. Now if I could just figure a way to get a gun bearer on an elk hunt...
