I inherited my Dad's pre-64 Model 70 in 30'06. After talking with Redneck he advised the rifle was probably in 95% condition and was worth around $900.00. I'm asking $800.00 plus shipping and insurance. I have attached a block of pictures. If you're interested, and want to see another picture of something in particular, just let me know.

Do you honestly rate this at 95% with the wood the way it looks?

Perhaps you might consider killing ducks somewhere else

I honestly believe that I don't know how to rate used firearms, therefore I was using a number from someone who did...but he had never seen the rifle. He was guessing from my description.

The wood actually looks a lot better when you hold the rifle and just look at it. I focused on the flawed area(s) so no one would accuse me of trying to hide any flaws.

Additonally, the little steel plug under the bell of the scope is simple protecting the dovetail slot the rear buckhorn sight goes in. I do have that and it is original.

Now, are you through schitting on my thread? Got any other areas you're concerned about?

I did. My brother and I split his collection. I got his favorite piece, a Ruger .41 Magnum flat top. That was his favorite firearm and I'll never part with it.

Now from the picture I see of that pre-64 rifle, I would rate it 80 to 85 percent! Money wise I think your looking at $675 tops.

Tonk,

Nobody asked OR CARES what you think of the rifle's value.

Period.

The gun is SOLD two times over.

The pics of the guns's condition are posted for all to see and have been from the start.

Since you are not the one buying or selling it, shut your pie hole and the Adults here conduct their business without your keyboard diarrhea .
