I'd be interested in a couple of boxes.

" jacketed 190 gr roundnoses for 303 savage loads" Les, I am confused ( which happens often ) . Are you taking about having jacketed or cast bullets produced? You mentioned sending a pulled bullet to the caster in one post. Thanks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Jacketed bullets. He casts the core and sleeves it with a copper jacket. I have some of his work for my 250, 130 gr bonded bullets that i plan on using on Elk. I sent him a Winny Silver-tip so that he can get the bullet as close to a factory bullet, jacket and all. Les <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Les, do you know how he bonds the jacket to the core? Epoxy? Are you going to test some in some type of expansion material? Add some bones to see how they hold up? Test them at 25 and 150 yards ? Did you test the Hornadays 180 RN ? I'm not trying to be negative, just asking before placing an order. Thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" />

Yep, tested the 180's on some phone books at 100 yards, no expansion. When I get the 190's I plan on doing the same test. 1 sheet of cowhide, and 4 phonebooks behind it. Les

Gary....Not sure I know where that is unless you are talking about the Bear Mountain that is just east of Logan, Utah.
Around here there is Blackhall and Battle Mountain which are both part of the Sierra Madre Mountain range.

It's about 10 miles South-East of Encampmet. You can access it on the Big Creek road - or you can come up from Pearl Colorado. It's about 5 miles Northeast of Blackhall. I used to shoot a lot of Blue Grouse in the same area. Neat country! I lived in Saratoge for about 6 years.

Les,
What part of the state is that? It's neat that you will be hunting with your dad - Is he going to be toting a 99?

Acutually we will be hunting over by Pikes Peak, area 59. Looks like they aren't any leftover tags for 50. That bites, but this way we can both get cows and be happy. Badger Mountain is north west of Eleven Mile Resevoir. My boss is the only one out of the bunch of us that drew tags. In early October, I will bew going down to Baca county with my 250 to get me an Antelope. Les
