These threads never turn out well...... and it always seems to be one new guy (who only posts in the FC) versus another new guy (who also only posts in the FC).

Yes I insured the scope for $350. But what good does that do me, if it was really damaged and I actually did get it back. I could possibily get some insurance money.

Got the scope and it sounded like a change jar, he mailed it in a padded plastic bag, and the display box the scope came in, could not collect insurance, due to the faulty packing. The only thing he was worried with was getting the scope I as mailing out just figuring if it broke I would be able to collect the insurance.I tried to return to sender but seeing I had left and opened it they would not let me do that. So I had to pay out of my pocket to ship the scope back.... Might not have been the right thing to keep the money order but I was not paying for his mistake.Anyway I am done with this whole deal this guy e-mails me 3 times a week with belligerent cusses for his wrong doing.. Honestly I was going to mail him back the change from the shipping after I cashed the m/o but after all this I really don't care to. The only thing I really hope like I told him is when he does finally get the scope back in the mail he feels stupid for acting like a caged monkey...

One thing I will say about Leupold even if I don't much care for their scopes, is that if the scope was in it's original box with the foam pads in place... that the scope should have been able to withstand near anything including Post Office employees. Leupold makes one of the sturdiest scope boxes in the industry!
Cashing the money order was Fraud, pure and simple!

Thank You!! That how I sent it. Also in a padded envelope. I know he kept the scope and cashed the money order.

How come you told me you mailed it back on the 12th of May. When you still have it. Mail back the scope and $50 money order. I believe it when I see it!!

Well don't go and get me all wrong, I'm not saying that's the way I'd have shipped it, just that I can't see it as being so broken up that it sounds like change in a jar.

1. File a complaint with USPS Postal Inspection service for fraud on M.O.
2. Send scope back to Leupold, they often go the extra 10 miles to make something right even if it's some dumbasse's fault.
Like the time I decided to cross a 60 degree screed covered hilside about 1000 ft above a stream. After riding down to the bottom on my back/azz with my poor M8 6X under me, I was amazed that the fine crosshair and dot was broken. Sent it back, Leupold called and apoligized that all they could replace it with (free) was a tapered crosshair and dot. "Would that be okay?" It was and still works fine a decade later.
Winchester did NOT send me a free new stock for the somewhat "sanded down" one on the M70.
