Have any of you guys used one of these? They're owned by Weber, but I haven't ever seen one in person. I just need something that I can use to grill quick when I get home, or that the wife can use when I'm gone. I want the natural gas version as I already have a port on the side of the house. I've been looking at the Affinity model which should be plenty big for my family. I just wondered if any of you guys had any first hand experience with them.

I guess I should add that I typically use hardwood or lump charcoal to cook with. I'm just needing something for the times when I get home late or just want to burn a burger. When I get serious I'll fire up the smoker.

I have never heard of that brand, sorry. Own and use two Webbers. As you said above, you think this is a Webber branded as something else.
Buy it, cook, let us know.

Just bought and installed a NG Ducane grill (same one your are looking at) about 2 months ago. Quality is OK and it is really easy to use. It's just a basic grill, nothing fancy, so far so good. I really like the convenience of NG. The low end Weber are rated pretty good too. I think Home Depot carries them

We have natural gas piped to our patio so I faced the same decision several years ago. Ducane grills were sold by our local gas utility for many years. I believe Ducane was originally a Canadian company before being bought by Weber. They had a good reputation but were very expensive and were only rated as average in consumer reports tests. I could never pull the trigger on one. One year I found a Weber Genesis (natural gas model) on clearance and bought it. It has been a good grill.

FWIW. Most of the grill manufacturers offer kits to convert propane models to natural gas. Usually it is just a matter of replacing the orifice in the burner with one of a different size. If you find a propane model you like, check the manufacturers website and see if you can get a conversion kit for it.

I've had a Weber for 15yrs. Everything inside it has been replaced, burner, flavorizer bars, regulator. Parts are resonalble, customer service is great, a live person who knows the product answers the phone.

My next grill will be an all-stainless Holland (spendy). We cook beaucoup "beer chickens" on the grill and a friend says nothing touches a Holland for that.

We plumbed our deck for a NG grill last year. We decided on the $520 delivered Ducane NG 4-burner. We like it, so far. Fast, with high or low heat. Did a pork butt overnight last Sat. My only complaint is that it was advertised with porcelain cast grills. It arrived with SS grills. I fought with cust service, but they did not have cast grills and hadn't had them for a while. Advertising had not caught up.
