By the way, they don't have DNR orders in Canada? You can't refuse medical treatment? Is it illegal to off yourself there? What do they do if you do? Force you to spend the winter in the Northern Territories? Yes we do. If you sign one, you can get expect to get a bit of help if you don't go soon enough. Dr. assisted suicide w/ and w/o patient consent does occur in Canada on a regular basis. How can it be considered "suicide" without patient consent? Well, if you can consider it suicide with consent, what does consent have to do with who did the killing. Maybe I'm trying to be too subtle here, but my point is it should be termed murder either way. Apologies for the confusion.

Kevorkian was a warped man who enjoyed killing people and figured out a way to get away with it.
With Dr. K, everything else is a side issue. If he is the best anyone can come up with as a poster boy for "ethically" killing people, that side is mighty lame.
Kill yourself. Asking anyone else to help is unethical, irresponsible and cowardly. The number of people who: 1. want to kill themselves and 2. are physcially unable, is an extremely small number of people, not worth discarding the ethics of Western Civilization. Bingo... The whole "I'd kill myself if someone else would just do it for me" is a pretty ridiculous concept.
