John,
Do you recommend UBC on high end aftermarket barrels too?
Thanks,
John

If they foul too quickly for your tastes, and I have seen a few that do, especially when shot with powders that foul quite a bit.
One of my major goals in life is to clean barrels as little as possible, because I much prefer shooting to cleaning.

I UBC'd my waffle griddle last week. Those puppies don't stick anymore but they smell kind of funny. Don't try this at home - tested in a closed kitchen with a professional chef.

John, is there a time limit on shooting these things. In other words, if I UBC a barrel and don't get to the range for a month or so, will it matter?
Thanks Pete

Pete, It won't matter at all. J Fraser: All new production M.L. manufactured by Knight Rifles have both Gun Shield and Bore Coat. It will stop the plastic fouling in your slug bbl. Have not coated my waffle iron but if it smells funny it's not cured.(grin)

Thanks, Doug.
Also, looking at materials on your site, I see some that warn against using anything but nylon brushes and others that say bronze is OK after all. What's the latest word?

Wonder if anyone has tested for accuracy. Just thinking that anything that improves consistency would, even if only negligibly, improve accuracy. Or, if measured over a very long string of shooting the lack of buildup ought to help consistency, true?
More relevant question, does the gun shield benefit a stainless barrel/receiver? I've heard the Kimber stainless does tend to get some corrosion if not properly cared for.

True and true Doug has also mentioned that you won't harm the coating with a bronze brush, but I'll let him answer that question for himself.

I have been testing the UBC in brand new barrels and it does help with copper fouling right from the get go.
I still clean every 75 rnds to keep the powder fouling under control in the 264 Win Mag but the copper is pretty much gone by the time the powder is gone and before UBC that was not the case.
Rifles that will not powder foul out will unquestionably go longer but I dont have any data on that yet.
The stuff (UBC) really does make a difference.
