In the Controlled Hunt Draw We got the Following First Choices
100 SERIES BUCK, SLED SPRINGS UNIT (157),
200 SERIES ELK, SLED SPRINGS UNIT #1 (257X)
600 SERIES ANTLERLESS DEER, UPPER WALLOWA VLY #2 (660A2)
It has been three long years waiting for a chance at a decent bull, Yeehah!
It has been six years since we pulled all three of these tags.

We got the Sled Springs Bull and Buck tag and Bonus of bonus my sixteen year old drew a Sled Springs cow tag in the youth hunt starts 8/1 and goes for the rest of 2011. Should be able to close that one. RP

A spike tag will break your heart. I couldn't even begin to say how many (unshootable) elk I've seen with just that piece of chit tag in my wallet. Bulls, cows... fuggin' spike tag <grin>.

A spike tag will break your heart. I couldn't even begin to say how many (unshootable) elk I've seen with just that piece of chit tag in my wallet. Bulls, cows... fuggin' spike tag <grin>. I hear you brother. You know what is funny though, last year I ran across 2 other shooter spikes and one branced bull during season. You know when I saw mine on the first day I had to take it. Around here that 3 percent success rate really eats at me and makes me want to hunt harder just to prove them wrong

We drew 6 any bull tags for Ukiah, Havent hunted there since I killed a rag bull on tower mt in 1986, any ideas?
