short - I don't know anything about the WP's but I purchased the 8x43 SP's from Doug @ cameraland. For someone who has never used anything better than cheap Bushnels, these thing are awesome. I looked into some of the highend Euro glass, but could not fit it into this years budget. Doug made me a great deal for what I feel are a great glass.
If your hunting the traditional Tx. style, blinds over a feeder, you might think about the 10x43 SP's. I think Doug had some left for a good price.
Good Hunting in whatever you decide..

I bought 8x32 DCF SP's after looking through my buddies 8x43's -- I wanted a smaller and lighter setup than his, but with the same level of optical excellence. I used them "officially" for the first time in Dec on a blacktailed deer hunt in the semi-twilight of a SE Alaska winter day, and they more than met all my expectations. (And materially contributed to me shooting the only buck I saw.)
For the money -- I would (and did) buy the SP's --I believe they are truly worth far more than I paid.

Again I ask; Where can one find a new Pentax DCF WP currently?
The model you cite are the Pentax PCF WP porro prism binoculars. The question is about the Pentax DCF WP roof prism binoculars. The Pentax DCF WP has been discontinued and it is rare one will find a new pair for sale anymore. There are some Pentax DCF WP 8x32mm, 8x42mm and 10x42mm still available at some of the NY camera houses, but they are priced about the same as or more than some other new midrange roof prisms that are better. Remember, the Pentax DCF WP is at least seven year old technology.
