I have a Rem 700 LA Stainless Classic 257 Roberts that I was thinking about selling. I bought from a local gun shop a few years back and it's been sitting in the safe ever since. Looks like it has not been fired or carried much at all. The SS Classics in .257 was a limited run by a major distributor. Made in 1999. It has a 22 in bbl, std sporter contour. Barrel is not tapped for open sights.

I have 5 boxes of new Winchester brass to go with it.

I also have a Bell and Carlson stock that I bought used that I was told was a new model KS stock. It's for a BDL with a std bbl channel. The stock is in good shape. It had been bedded (but not to this rifle) and has aluminum pillars. It has a Pach Decelerator pad. The inletting for the barrel shank is slightly larger that the barrel on the 257. I placed the barrel action in the stock for some pictures, but it has not been fitted or bedded to the stainless 257 action.

I'm asking $900 for all of it, plus shipping.
If you're interested, I can post more pictures.

Thanks
Mark

To answer a couple of questions;
The B&C stock weight is 28oz and it does not have a full length alum bedding block, just pillars.
Thanks

FWIW, as cataloged, the Remimgton 700 Mountain Rifles in 257 Roberts would have been built on a short action. The only cataloged long action 700s in 257 Roberts were the 1983(?) 700 Classics.
