I've got someone that wants to trade me a 1984-vintage 336 (in .30-.30) for an item that I've got listed for $195. Considering the condition of the rifle, would this be a decent trade mone-wise?

Sounds to me like you'd come out a little ahead. Around here, $300 isn't unusual for a used 336, if it's in good shape.
