i recently built a 220 swift on a 98 mauser action. feeds great, extracts great, but won't chunk the empty case. could it be that i need to do some work on the extractor? i have to pluck the case off the bolt face when im reloading. just curious what i need to do to fix this

"Chunk" the empty case? Translation please.

Gary, I believe that means the cases fail to eject.

Off the follower and even when rounds are in the magazine, or both?

Had that problem once. Changed ejector blade and the problem was solved.

sorry guys i did not respond. had a power outage at work and it knocked out the server. i had a gunsmith friend put it together for me, my parts. yes it fails to eject or flip the case out. i put one loaded shell in the magazine, fire , pull the bolt back, and the case stays put behind the extractor, even though it hits the ejector blade.

When you pull the bolt clear back, without a cartridge, how far does the ejector protrude from the bolt face?
