Once you carry a montana in the woods, it's tough to take any of my others, especially if carrying a 24lb treestand as well. I would not think twice if considering a 308 montana. A used 7mm08 I would stay away from.

A couple months ago I had all the metal Teflon coated by Blackice Coatings here in Utah. I bought it thinking it would be the ideal close-cover spot and stalk bear rifle and ended up killing an Idaho black bear with it in May at 340 yards. Go figure!...
