+1

you are my kind of guy, God put them here for me to kill.

I used to kill at least 50-60 every Summer when I lived in Az.

Last week of July and first/second weeks of August are bonanza hunts for coyotes.
God Bless you, and thanks

Too hot right now, and the ground cover where I look for coyotes is pretty high right now[Owens Valley and Round Valley]. But, seeing how I busted my right foot last Sat., I quess I can let 'em slide for a while! I'll see 'em come the Fall.

I hunt them year round. All I change is the calls I use. Late spring and early summer I use a fawn distress mixed with a cotton tail distress. I shoot all that come in.

it wouldn't bother me to kill a pup if it were fast and clean...

i won't be shooting any coyotes that have unweaned pups... nothing fast or clean about that...

just my way... they are coyotes and i pass no judgment on any other who takes them at any time...

I'll hunt in the summer at least till 9-10AM before it gets too hot. Then I'll either call it a day or go back right before sunset.

They really don't seem to come to the call in the summer here. Don't have much luck until it freezes in the fall. I did make a nice 275 yard shot on one a couple of weeks ago. If I shoot a few, they stay away from our calves, but they really hammer the antelope fawns.

My thought is to kill them all year around here. They take way too many fawns. I'd much rather have the deer than the yotes.
Gives me something to hunt after turkey season and before the real hunting in the fall.

I leave a rifle in the truck, they pop out once in a while, when we're making hay. They ike to hunt mice and what not in the short grass.

I kill every one I get a chance to. The ranch over from me has a large sheep/lamb operation and I get a few crossing over the property.

Well, the foot is on the mend better than I could have hoped for.
Might just take the 22-250, get in the truck and head up towards Bridgeport around the ranches and take a look for some 'yotes.
May as well take the fishing pole too, what the hell!
