I am about to buy a S&B Zenith 1-4x24mm scope and was thinking on the FD9 reticle, as it will be on my .375H&H that will probably see use on buffalo.

I would like to hear opinions on this FD9 reticle and if anyone has it, please, post some photos of the reticle.

My doubt is if the reticle is to thick on the center... and a photo through the scope showing the reticle will help.

I have 3 scopes with the #9 reticle, so I'm a fan. Very fast target acquisition.

I have a couple of 3-12x42's and a fixed 4x all with the #9. One thing to keep in mind is the S&B does not make the same sub-tension for all models even with the same reticle. Example; the crosshair sub-tension on a 3-12 Klassic #9 is .30" at 100 yds and the Zenith 3-12 #9 is .24" at the same 100 yards.

They are great scopes that I'm sure would serve your needs. I also have the S&B catalog with all reticles and sub-tension via email and can send it to you if you like, just PM your email address.
