Hey all,
I haven't spent much time around here in a while, but some time back I bought some much needed parts for a 22HP of mine from 99Trix. I promised him pictures of the ol' girl when I got done, and while I might not be the most punctual dude of all time, I am a man of my word. Life has been happening, and when it rains it pours. From top to bottom:

.22HP MFD: 1915
.303 MFD: 1910
.303 MFD: 1902

I do have one question, however. The middle one (1910) has a rather short heavy barrel. What designation would this be? The long one is an "A", correct?

Thanks all....

Short rifle! wink

If it's original and not cut down. I don't see the remains of a saddle ring post.

or a carbine butt...

its an 1899A Short rifle, came in a solid frame and a take-down... or its an 1899A that has been cut.

Nice rifles, SR's are hard to find. What's the front sight on the 1902 1899A?

I agree, nice rifles, good to see'em seviceable again wink

What are the rear sights...other than the obivious tang? Front on the "short rifle" looks familiarly high smile And could assume the rear does too, from what I see in your photo. Not a buckhorn by any chance??

These all look extremely dirty with the close up Glamour Shots, but I assure you, I do clean these rifles. Any specifics like sight model names you'd like to tell me would be great. Oh, none of these ol' girls have been drilled for scopes or slings-they are 100% unmolested.

FYI...
Rear sight on the SR appears to be a Winchester. Original in 1910 would be the Rocky Mt., like on the 1899-A, or the 1911. You might be able to tell which by where the original wear mark from the elevator is. The 1911 is a shorter sight than the Rocky Mt.

The long rifle has some head space issues. So, I won't be shooting it until I get that and the tang cracks fixed.

Okay, so I dug the Long Rifle's (1902) rear sight out of the safe and snapped a couple pictures:

Then, I took the elevator out of the Short Rifle (1910). Notice it's the exact same elevator-I'm sure they used this for a couple of different sights. Is it possible that the main part of the sight is from a Winchester?-Sure, but read Rick99's signature....

Oh, and a quick note: The 1910 is going with me for a cow elk hunt here in Arizona this December-these beauties are made to be used.

The elevators sure look Winchester. Some of them were the same thickness as Savage used. How thick are they?
