Oh man, Stan, the shivers just went up and down my spine. I hate them things! What flavor of snake?

Had a scare last weekend. Saturday night, Wyatt, my 3 year old son, wasnt feeling good and threw up a couple times while we were at a family BBQ. We decided he should go home, so I left with the twin boys and the wife and daughter (without a cell phone) went to another family function. In the backseat on the way home, Wyatt had a seizure. I was about 4 miles from the hospital, so I put the gas pedal to the wood and away we flew. Ford trucks are governed at 94. grin About 2 miles from the hospital, a state trooper pulled me over. As he got out, I told him I was on the line with 911 and my son was having a seizure. The ambulance got there and they figured it wasnt too serious. At the ER, they determined is was a fibrile seizure which is temperature induced and no big deal. In fact, the ER doc said if it happens again we dont need to even bring him in! It would happen to anyone in those conditions and there is no medical issues with it whatsoever. The combination of the hot, humid day, his sudden onset fever, and throwing up (mildly dehydrated) is what caused it. Pretty darn scary though. Oh, and the wife may just carry her cell phone a bit more!

For those of you with kids, make sure they stay cool and hydrated especially if they show signs of being sick. This happened really fast.

Same thing happen to my neighbors boy a couple years ago... A very scary deal for any parent.. And the hospital said the exact same thing... I guess they were told it happens to boys from the ages 3 to 5 yrs old is very common...

Since that happened i make sure both my kids drink lots of water on those hot days....

Scary indeed. I have have a 3 year old niece that has seizures whenever she has a high temp.

Add me to the list of snake haters. Infact you can put me at the top of the list.

Glad things are ok with the boy BM.

You guys are all a bunch of girly boys. Snakes don't bother me, as long as they are not poisonous. When we were at the shack I had one peek through the door at me in the outhouse. It was a cute little bugger. Wasn't even as big aroung as my pinky.

My camera is going to be here tomorrow. I have to stick around to sign for it, so I hope it comes in the morning. I am so EXCITED!!!!

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

What kind of camera Muffy?

I was at Target the other day and saw they had a DSLR Cannon Rebel EOS T3 or t2 like that for $499, with a lens. It was the one that takes 720p video. The other one took 1080p HD video.

I have an Cannon EOS Rebel but it's a 35mm film, so it doesn't get much use anymore.

I love a boat ride on a river. Addicted to it actually. I bet the boy thought he was doing 120. Seems like it somehow, on the water.

Tom if you saw a T2i for 500, especially as a kit.. better buy really quick.. If you saw T3i kits for the same price, buy as many as you can, add 50%-75% and sell em to guys who shop their fingers off online but don't think to look at target lol.

I'm pretty sure it was t2 that was 500, but I don't remember seeing the "i". Maybe I should look again. I'm sure it's a step down from the more "professional" grade, especially since it's at target.

I see, well I don't know where they start calling them a pro grade cam, maybe the 7D? (very nice but pricy) Heck if I know. The T2i ans 3i are still in the rebel family. That sounds like a pretty nice camera & with an 18-55 image stabilizing lens it sure sounds like a good deal.

He's crazy for fishing, very interested in every cast expecting to see a new fish splashing around. He's really into it, pretty funny.
