Howdy All,

I have an 1899 SRC (if I recall it dates to 1913 or so) that has had all of the wood replaced at some time. I have some stock blanks that are to be fitted to the carbine. One problem though...I have no SRC Buttplate. Does any one make a repro? I imagine that an original is made from unobtanium. If there are no repros out there would a Winnie carbine buttplate be close to the right dimensions?

The winchester plate is close. The Savage stock is a little longer at the toe so the angle of the Savage plate is a little larger.

Put the Savage hard rubber plate on it.

Well it has one on there now. My goal is to bring it as close to original as possible. (2nd one up from the bottom)
