Sir, that rifle would probably bring $400-$500 in my neck of the woods.

Try walking around at with it at the next local gun show. Start out at $500 and gauge interest. After an hour offer it for $450. Continue until sold or until you get no acceptable offers. The rifle will likely appraise itself.

Cabela's like the 99's right now. Our Wheeling store buys "shooters" regularly for more than I see them bring on GunBroker.

Open a Gun Broker account and start it at a penny. With an accurate description and plenty of pics the rifle will also appraise itself.

Advertise it in your local paper/sale tab. Ask $500 or best offer. Many people still watch and respond to these ads.

Among other things, I like guns. If I had an heirloom piece it would remain with me to be passed along to future generations. In the past I have let a few go for good cause.

Good luck.

I was given an EG in .300 by my wife's grandad. I think it dates to 1956

Just knowing how much he loved the rifle, I will never sell it. Even though the scope is only a 2-1/4 power that rifle will shoot the gnat's a$$. It LOVES the 180 grainers.

I wasn't fortunate enough to get a Warlock as well, although I did get a 79 F100 with a 300cid 6 in it....not complaining at all!

It is rare that every hunt is successful (according to most definitions), but every hunt you carry that gun on will be so.

Success will come each time you glance down at the gun, remember your Grandfather, and if you are like me, your success will be measured in pride and tears.

No price can be assigned to this.
