A couple more for mudbogger, these before the tang sight was added:

1895 Winchester 30 US

This 1895 is a very accurate rifle. I have five shot groups with 180RN's and the RCBS 30-180-FN cast bullet that are just a bit over an inch at 100 yards. Tang sight and 28" barrel will help shoot some good groups.

Thanks fellers! Yes, the clover is DEEP! It's taller than the tbar fence posts out here! It's crazy! We're gonna have AWESOME elk and deer racks this year! cool

Dober, they both get alot of use. My dad has had that BL-22 since he was nine, and it has been the demise of a lot of coons, squirrels, prairie dogs, gophers, etc. smile

Mud bogger,
I will keep that in mind! Here's my other 1895. Although you can't see it, it is resting on top of the seat post. This one is a 30-03. Not as accurate as the 30US. I get five shot groups between 2" and 3". I like the shotgun butt though-kinder to the shoulder!

Joe - very nice wood on that Savage. Everytime I look at a stock that pretty I 'think' what the wife would say..."Honey, why can't we have a dinner table that nice?" She gets mad when I remind her she also likes fancy table cloths so by hiding the table - what's the point! Fancy wood belongs on a rifle not a table. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
