I know it will have a 6:1 zoom ration, but is that it? Any differences in glass, coatings, mechanics, etc?

Best,

Well the mechanics will definitely be changed with the 6x zoom. Carbon copy of the VX3 would be my best guess.

Hi Elk, I was referring to the erector system. Guess it will be the same as the VX3 as well.

I believe they will come standard with one cds dial, so that may add to the cost vs. the VX3.

Best,

JM.

Looks like SWFA has them. They are saying that the VX-6 have the Diamond Coat 2 coating on them as well.

Wonder how they will stack up against the Conquest. I haven't bought a Leupold for awhile and feel kinda guilty.

Price wise, they seem to line up with the 4.5x14x40 Conquest with turrets and SF.

The VX-7 was/is a good scope. Not crazy about a 30mm tube but Leupold usually has good dimensions. I would say this scope is a step up from a Conquest in glass and the 6 x zoom.

Leupold needs a Vx6 4x16x42 CDS 30mm tube with side focus. mounted on a Savage 243 would be perfect for florida key deer!

That was all I used to run on my rifles and have bought other brands in the last few years.

I just grew up shooting them.

Looks like a fat 17.5 oz overweight gimmick for $900.00? NO THANKS.

No doubt some in the peanut gallery will buy into it.
