The Montana has surprisingly little recoil in .325. Lot's of "bang" for your buck in that regard...

Yes, I agree. If a person is restricting themselves to say 450 yds on in- a very sensible and reasonable restriction- it's the most whap you can get from a WSM. Or a Montana.

The new 160 TTSX is interesting. A guy should be able to get that SCREAMING from a .325!

The CENTER will hold.

It looks like the availability of components is pretty easy. What are the thoughts out there on this cartridge?
............Assuming brass availability is good for the 325 WSM it`s a very good round.

However if it were me, I`d wait for a good deal on a 338 which imho, is the better gap filler between the 30-06 and 375.

338 bullet selection is better too.

I would love to know if there is a way it can really outshine the 300WSM ? Especially in light of the limited brass/bullet selection?

I truly have just been curious for a while, being a 300WSM shooter myself.

Try shooting 220's out of your 300wsm.

I liked this round from the first time I read about it. One thing to remember is that getting a 338 win.mag. is going to equal a rifle with an extra 1-11/2 lbs in weight and be at minimum 3-4" longer.
My Rem 700 325 and my Ruger M77 30/06 are same length, same weight, but the 325 will blow the doors off of the 06, so it is quite a step up and would fit in perfect between the 06 and 375. It might not equal the 338 but will come close and be nicer to shoot, carry and handle, again making it a nice round in between the 06 and 375.
As far as brass is concerned I think there are to many 325's out there for brass to become a problem. I have very little trouble obtaining 8mm Rem.mag brass. Also one could neck up 300 brass I would think. As far as 8mm bullets go,they are only not popular in the states,so for the reloader they will be available as well from europe etc. but again there will be enough of a demand for 8mm bullets for the North American bullet makers to keep offering them.

My words exactly, 20 some head of game, one shot kills. PH told me he had never seen a cartridge/bullet combo work as good.
