Hi all...this is my first post on the forum! Happy to be here.
I grew up in the Elk Valley and have always heard good things about Elk Valley Bighorn Outfitters....especially their guide area. There is plenty of goat in the Elk Valley, one just happens to be hanging on my wall behind my head looking at me as I type.
They're guide area is really quite amazing. Elk, sheep, goat, moose, mule deer, WT deer, Grizzly, Black Bear....all in the heart of the Rockies....amazing country. Not many areas where you get such diversity of game.
I would highly recommend picking up an elk tag as well.
Best of luck to you!

I had a good goat hunt with Anna in 2005. My wife and I are going back this fall for a moose hunt. Lots of goats, beautiful country, and good horses. I would reccomend you go. Tim

Someone posted pics on here last Summer with a nice goat he'd taken with Anna & Co.
Google "24hourcampfire custom search", then use the resulting page to look up Elk Valley Bighorn Outfitters". That should pull it up.
FWIW, I've hunted an area to the SE of there, & it's always been loaded with goats.

I suppose that if you have to ask how much it cost, you can't afford it?

Tim: I looked on their web site. It includes some photos and general info but no info on price. I'm always on a budget so I have to ask what it costs. KC

Have never heard anything bad about the Fontana's guiding operation. Anna continued after Bob was killed by a buffalo in Africa a few years ago.

Have never heard anything bad about the Fontana's guiding operation. Anna continued after Bob was killed by a buffalo in Africa a few years ago. AB2506; I'll echo that statement in that I've not heard anything bad about them either. As a resident, albeit from 5 or so odd valleys to the west, like as not if there was bad to hear about a guide, it would be heard - even this far away. To the OP, my standard advise to any goat hunters coming here to BC is to bring a good camera with lot's of memory because the scenery isn't too bad. Secondly, even with the aide of horses, goat country has to be experienced to be fully comprehended. Make sure you are in the best shape possible and have very good footwear that is suited for the task. All the best luck to you on your upcoming hunt to the OP. AB2506 - all the best to you and yours on the long weekend. Regards, Dwayne

I have caught many fish out of that lake (Abbruzzi Lake). You could barely keep them off the fly. Awesome pics and the scenery is 2nd to none. I love hunting that country.
