Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with that expensive double-pane energy efficient kind, and today, I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been completed a whole year ago and I still hadn't paid for them. Hellloooo,............just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast talking sales guy had told me last year, that in ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves! Helllooooo? It's been a year! I told him.

There was only silence at the other end of the line, so

I finally just hung up. He never called back. I bet he felt like an idiot.

Now that, I like!

I wish you would have told me sooner, I paid mine off a few months ago and still haven't gotten the energy credit.

I replaced all mine with those fancy double pane windows. All new exterior doors as well.
Two years back I replaced the entire HVAC system with a 16 SEER Lenox unit. Now I am seeing a 30% reduction in my energy costs from before.

I replaced mine with the double pane low E type. Exterior door too. The energy savings is good and the noise reduction is even better.

I opened the windows, now I can afford a glass of ice tea.

grin I'll go you one better. I put in all the energy efficient house upgrades that are being hyped. Spray on foam, windows, doors, hi-efficency air condition unit. According to the hype at the end of the month Texas Utilities will be sending me a check.
