No berry picking for us today. Mother nature is taking a dump on us again. Taylor County, NW of here is really catching hell. Some areas have over 4" of rain and it's still coming down.

Looks like we'll need air boats to get around in the woods this fall.

Sounds like you got the brunt of what we got yesterday. We didn't get 4". Bad news for you Bill, there is more on the way. Got a doosey hitting here soon.

Dave, unless Something goofy happens, me and the mini man will be pointed north. Not sure if it will be Friday night or if I'll be up on Saturday morning for pancakes.

Sounds good, I'm watching the 10 day forecast and at this point the weatherman is shuffling the forecast like a deck of cards.

If we did everything according to the weather forecast, we wouldn't do anything at all.

If I was coming by myself I'd do it no problem, but I have to wait for ma to get home from work, so it would be probably 1 am if i made good time. I won't make good time because I'll have to stop every hour or so for the little man to pee.

If I leave at 3-4am I'll be there when you goof balls are rolling out of bed.

So we're going to lunch at this place on the UofM campus and this "nature" type college chick says to me..."Sir, I"m from Green Peace, do you have a minute for the environment?"

Me:"no thank you, m'am, we're on our lunch break and we only have a few minutes."

GP Lady: "Sir, you look like you care for the environment, you don't have a minute"

Me: "Yes, m'am I do care for the environment, I'm about to go across the street to the Pot Belly and eat some of the tasty animals it produces everyday."

GP Lady:....no words. Imagine that. Well, she may have said something but I couldn't hear her because the two people I was with were crying from all the laughing.

i had that happen once at a grocery store with a peta member, i promptly tossed a fillet at her that she hadnt seen lol she looked like someone cancelled christmas, then i proceeded to tell her that i mostly prefer to shoot kill etc etc my own tasty fury creatures, she then tried to tell me how would i feel, and i said, well i dunno, but im at the top of the food chain and its good up here :-D

Green Peace eh? I thought they only wanted to save the whales?

I agree Bill, I think we should save the whole set.

One good comeback is to ask them what they have personally done for the environment....not conduct surveys, etc, but how many acres of habitat improvement have they done? How many trees planted? That shuts them up pretty quick. They are almost all just in it for the glory, they dont want to actually do anything to help the animals.

what on earth could you have done right then to help any critter Tzone? Not a damn thing.

I did my part to keep the chickens from over population. It was good on my sandwhich.

I try to do my part. I love growing wildlife and watching them all summer as they mature, right before harvest time kinda like farming in a way

yeah I heard that on the radio on my way home, 3 cops got in a gunfight, one didn't make it the other two are wounded but stable. haven't heard many details other than that. bad deal though

ummm, in a gunfight with each other??

I heard on the radio this afternoon the bad guy didn't make it either.........hope the bastid was miserable till he checked out.
